It all started in high school. For many of us, it's a whirlwind of memories: from proms to football games, from algebra to... home economics. Yes, home economics! That's where my love affair with sewing began.
I fell in love with the process of creating something from a piece of fabric. Picking out that special material and turning it into an outfit was such an accomplishment! This was the magic that I discovered in my teen years and this love for sewing only deepened over time.
Fast forward to today, and here I am, the proud creator and owner of BabySoSoft. From simple beginnings, I've grown into a business owner who sews and sells exquisite, handcrafted baby gifts and quilts. These are not just any baby products; each piece is a labor of love and a testimony to my journey.
Being self-taught, I’m proud to have been recognized with multiple awards at major craft fairs. Friends often say I’m "naturally gifted." Flattering, for sure, but I believe it boils down to the love I put into every stitch and every product. I still love that process of finding the perfect fabric and colors, especially the incredibly soft Minky fabric that has now become a hallmark of BabySoSoft products.
It's so fulfilling to see how passions and interests intersect. I've always had a soft spot for babies (who doesn’t?) and sewing. Combining these seemed like a natural progression. But every dream needs a name. "Sweet Dreams" was my initial thought, but something about it didn't feel wholly right, especially since I wasn't just sticking to blankets. I wanted a name that encompassed the softness and tenderness of every product. And thus, amidst this brainstorm, BabySoSoft was born in 2013.
